Art & Peace

I was at my studio today planning to create a great piece of artwork. I started my usual routine of putting colors on my pallete, preparing my brushes, picking out my canvas, and etc. I sat in front of my easel, but no matter how hard I tried, i couldn't put a drop of colour on my canvas. I was so upset and heartbroken of the recent tragic events in Beirut and Paris, that I could not let my creativity take control. I felt desperate and helpless. Then I recalled a famous saying from Mother Teresa that "if we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other". I wish that one day, people understand that we are all children of the great god and no one has the right to claim somebody else's life solely on the basis that he disagrees with that person's beliefs and ideology.

I dedicate my recent painting that I finished only 2 days ago to all the victims in these tragic events. I call this artwork "Black Magic" because from any dark incident, no matter how big it is, sprouts of life and hope can bloom.

Cataract Surgery

Dear Friends,

I like to explain why I haven't been active in my social media. Few weeks ago, I went through a cataract surgery (don't think I am old;P ). Although this is usually a simple procedure, unfortunately for me, I have had many complications; most things look blurry and my eyes get quite tired after few minutes of looking at computer monitor. I have reported my symptoms to my doctors and they are doing their best to address it. Hope I recover soon and continue creating art. stay tuned!
